BOKA Powell provided Interior Design and furniture selection services for Siemens Dematic Postal Automation Systems’ new campus headquarters located on a 14.1-acre site across from first base at the Ballpark in Arlington, Texas. The spaces were created to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the development and testing of state-of-the-art postal equipment for the United States Postal Service, as well as other commercial clients. Programming and interior planning for the first phase of the campus, consisting of a 235,000 square foot Research and Development facility, accommodates a diverse array of functions including R&D labs, software labs, testing labs, a training center, data center, machine shop and general office functions. Departmental adjacencies were organized to synergize the company’s business model by fostering an interactive atmosphere that encourages collaborative problem solving. The spaces were designed in a collaborative effort with corporate leadership, as well as users of the space, with the goal of creating a timeless and sophisticated space that would meet strict budget and scheduling requirements.
