In the event of an emergency that disables Southwest’s Network Operations Center (NOC) and other corporate functions at the carrier’s Dallas headquarters, BOKA Powell has designed a new two-story, 63,922 SF, hardened Remote Operations Center (ROC). This replaces Southwest’s existing un-hardened facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Headquarters Emergency Command Center (HECC) assumes responsibility for command of emergency response efforts, coordinating and supporting all teams at an accident site. The new ROC, roughly $16M, provides open office space, meeting rooms, and support spaces to accommodate more than 600 Southwest Employees.
