Senior Associate
Sr. Architect

A senior project architect, Mike Smith holds a degree in architecture from the University of Texas and is a registered architect in Texas and Arizona. With more than 30 years of experience in residential and commercial building design, Mike acknowledges that beautifully designed, well-built architecture is the result of extensive collaboration and works diligently to guide and facilitate the contributions of all members of the design team. Over the course of his career, Mike has contributed to a variety of Austin civic landmarks. Mike was an invited lecturer in the U.T.S.O.A. Summer Academy from 2008 - 2010 and helped develop the curriculum for the intensive five-week Young Scholars program. He was one of four winners of the Austin AIA 2014 Tiny Victories competition with Casa Pequena, a 200 SF residence for the chronically homeless. Mike was the project architect for the Soto in San Antonio -- the first mid-rise mass-timber office building in Texas.
