Tom Marsden’s interest in art, drawing, and design began in childhood and led him to pursue a career in architecture. It was not only the ability to draw and design that appealed to him, but also the opportunity to shape people’s lives in a positive way. Tom finds the collaborative aspect of his job to be one of the most rewarding. Whether he’s working with a client, a developer or contractors and craftsmen, he finds the process of reaching consensus to be exciting and often humbling. Tom looks for the unique context of every project. His philosophy is to use a combination of approaches that best address the situational needs of the project. In this way, he ensures that each project reflects the uniqueness of each client and that his designs create a net gain for people.
