Fort Worth City Hall

Fort Worth, Texas

Fort Worth City Hall includes a complete interior renovation of the 20-story former Pier 1 Tower, a new council chamber building, outdoor spaces for public use and a parking garage addition. For this ambitious project, BOKA Powell was selected as the Prime Architect for the project. As Prime Architect, BOKA Powell was responsible for the entire design team and overall project management. BOKA Powell served as the Project Designer and Architect of Record for the tower renovation, as well as the Architect of Record for the parking garage addition.

Brinkley Sargent Wiginton served at the Project Designer and Architect of Record for the council chamber building.

This complex project promotes civic engagement, interdepartmental collaboration, innovation, and transparency for the citizens of Fort Worth, as well as the city’s employees. Twenty-two city departments, including the mayor’s office and city council members’ offices have been relocated to the renovated tower from thirteen different buildings located throughout the city. BOKA Powell worked closely with internal and external stakeholder groups to determine how architecture and interior design can create a civic building that is welcoming and inviting for everyone in Fort Worth.
