Mandarin Oriental

Dallas, Texas

Sleek and sophisticated, with a simple elegant slab form, the Mandarin Oriental Victory Park is all about context. Key planning and design concepts arose from the contextual urban fabric of Victory Park and the added context and culture of Asian influences from the Mandarin Oriental brand. The building façade is gently inflected inward to embrace the 1.5 acre Victory Park and allow the garden space to read across High Market Street right into the ground floor. The building placement compliments the Victory Park masterplan by honoring view corridors for other projects while maintaining its own dramatic views of the adjacent Dallas skyline. The ultimate identity of this 36 story tower marries the contextual response of the site to the cultural experience of hospitality and elegance, or tasteful opulence.
