Methodist Hospital for Surgery

Addison, Texas

Marking the expansion of the Dallas-based Methodist Health System into Addison is the development of a 108,482 SF Methodist Hospital for Surgery. The facility expands surgical services provided by Methodist Health System and their partner physicians in this new world-class healing environment.

The hospital has seven fully equipped operating rooms, 32 private patient rooms, four intensive care units, a diagnostic imaging suite (including CT and MRI), and physical therapy facilities. The hospital will focus on treating patients in need of highly specialized spine and joint surgery and will be the only dedicated orthopedics hospital of its kind in the area.

The building information modeling (BIM) process allowed for a significant reduction in the construction schedule on this hospital, allowing the developer to meet a critical completion date. In addition, the project benefited from far fewer change orders than is typical in delivering a highly complex healthcare facility like this one.
