From atop the iconic Trammell Crow Center in the heart of downtown Dallas, BOKA Powell sought to elevate nature in Stream Realty’s new 35,000 SF headquarters. Designing for the 28th floor and portions of the 26th floor, BOKA Powell provided complete interior design services for the modern, innovative space.
The design is inspired by Stream’s youthful, high-energy employees and its corporate leaders’ passion for the outdoors. With an organic, flowing palette referencing earth, sky and water, BOKA Powell selected traditional materials rendered in a modern, sophisticated style reflective of the firm’s forward-thinking stance in the real estate market. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide framed views of the horizon and showcase downtown landmarks below, including the Dallas Arts District, Klyde Warren Park, and the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.
The core of the space is wrapped in rich wood, evocative of a massive tree trunk that lends heartiness and warmth to the surroundings. Low and grounded workstations promote collaboration and mentorship among employees, which are key to Stream’s horizontal corporate culture.
The space is divided into quadrants rippling outward from the elevator lobby. The effortless flow emanating from the lobby makes this a suitable venue for corporate events and meetings. The lobby area is designed to serve as a reception and pre-function space that spills into adjacent conference rooms, which can expand to host gatherings of 100 or more. A large break room features a variety of seating options and can serve as a watering hole for lively office functions, as well as a peaceful refuge from a fast-paced workday.
