Nick Stackhouse
NCARB
Architect
What drives Nick Stackhouse most is design, innovation, and teamwork in all aspects of life. For him, the process is about making life easier for ourselves while creating a more fulfilling experience for those around us. Nick believes that life and work can be viewed in two ways: as a gift to be celebrated—"What a reward!"—or as something we feel entitled to, asking, "Why haven’t I received this?" He finds the greatest satisfaction in work when placed in a broad role that allows room for creativity and process improvement.
Nick is deeply inspired by the Japanese philosophy of LEAN thinking as a business model. He is particularly fascinated by what NUMMI achieved in Fremont, transforming outcomes with the same workforce through innovative practices.
His passion extends to integrating new technologies and designs into traditional models and standards, whether in building design or individual product development. For Nick, the intersection of tradition and innovation is where meaningful progress happens.
